Motorola Moto G4

The Motorola Moto G4 is a budget phone that is claimed by many to also be good. Certain key features that might seem interesting is that the phone is able to survive being dunked into water and will not turn off immediately after it comes in contact with water. This is really useful for those who have tendencies of spilling or are generally much clumsier.

The Motorola Moto G4 is also pretty thin which is handy if you want to keep and take out of your pocket easily. The Motorola Moto G4 has a 14cm screen with a HD display with 1080p resolution. The colours are well saturated which is ideal for usage.

The Motorola Moto G4 comes with a battery life of around 13 hours which is quite a long usage time for an average user and is really useful if you’re unable to charge the phone. There’s also a fingerprint scanner at the front which is a nifty function as it is more convenient for those who finds typing in the passcode repeatedly to get into their phone a burden. Do note that this is not a home button and some long time apple or android users may mistake the fingerprint scanner for it.

The Motorola Moto G4 comes with octa-core processors which are adequate for video streaming or playing casual games. However, if you’re planning on using this phone for gaming, this phone isn’t ideal for it.

The camera of the Motorola Moto G4 is a 13-megapixel camera which produces generally satisfying images that are acceptable by society’s standards. Even in bright lights, it will still produce really decent images.

In conclusion, if you’re looking for a cheap yet decent phone to use for your everyday social media needs and have a battery that lasts for a long period of time. The phone can be bought at around S$269.99 at retail price. However, do not expect much from it if you’re using it for gaming.

LG K10

The LG K10 is a multi-touch smartphone with a dimension of 146 mm x 74.8 mm x 8.8 mm. It has a physical size of 5.3 inches with a 720 x 1280 HD resolution. It has a pixel density of 277 ppi and a screen-to-body ratio of 71%. There are also additional features such as ambient light sensor and proximity sensor. The LG K10 unlike other LG phones, it have smooth and curved edges.

The LTE version of the phone is powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz or 1.3GHz CPU. There are three choices of RAM to choose from: 2GB of RAM, 1.5GB of RAM and 1GB of RAM. It has a camera of 13 megapixels and a front-facing camera of 8 megapixels.

The 2300mAh battery keeps the phone lights on and the phone will be offered in white, indigo and gold colour. In addition, there are other sensors such as accelerometer, compass, voice dialing, voice commands, voice recording. Unfortunately, the company has not released any pricing or availability information yet. The issue with this smartphone is its battery performance as it would run out quite fast when turned on.

In conclusion, I would say that this is a great smartphone for gaming as it can run the apps very quickly unless it is a large game then it will load slower. By the way, this phone is meant to cater to a younger audience and many people likes the smooth, curved edges. Overall, I would give this phone a rating of 8/10.

Assassin’s Creed:Pirates

When someone think about Assassin’s Creed in general, one will visualise  a hooded figure doing parkour in a famous time era, brutally assassinating enemies. However, taking out the naval combat of Black Flag and Rogue, the basic formula for Pirates is made.

In basic, there is no land combat at all, thus putting this game in the Everyone and Teens section of ESRB. The main focus is its naval combat. The story in brief is that, you play as Alonzo Batilla, a budding pirate who just so happen to rescued by other pirates and together, they hunt down a Piece of Eden(some holy artifact that had special powers, the Sword of Eden in Unity can shoot arc bolts everywhere, for example) with some famous people then, like Blackbeard. The storyline may however inter-twine with Black Flag mainly die to Blackbeard’s appearance(I have not completed the game yet).

The gameplay was spectacular as they kept the main weapons from Rogue and Black Flag naval conflicts. The missions were usually a hunting mission, although some times it will be different. Sadly, the missions had a steep difficulty slope, meaning it would be hard to catch up after doing a mission , thus having a feeling that you have to do long grinding game time or simply pay to win(you can buy currencies and material). The sidequests and missions are pretty enjoyable to play, but the assassination mission in the pain in the neck.As you have to drag your ship through guards from a birds eye view, your finger size does matters heavily. The Mayan temple escapes are ridiculously difficult as the controls just simply does not work. The only sheer thing that makes me still want to play this game is the ‘love’ for the Assassin’s Creed franchise and missing out Black Flag. The graphics are outstanding too. Adding to the immersive gameplay to its naval only gameplay.

All in all, if you really love Assassin’s Creed Black Flag and Rogue’s gameplay, and just could not get enough, just download Assassin’s Creed Pirates. It is free to play anyways. It is available to download from Google Play or Appstore.

Iluv neon sound iep336 earphones

The Iluv neon sound iep336 earphones is an all rounder earphones that is compatible withall iphones , ipods , ipads , Samsung Galaxy Series , Galaxy Note series , Galaxy Tab series , LG , HTC and other smartphones , tablets and other 3.5mm Audio Devices. Being so all rounded , there is no reason why people should not buy it. It has durable designs , in-line volume control which is unused on computers and non-apple devices. It has tangle resistant cables which is useful if the earphones that you are using now are always have thier cords being tangled. Having a comfortable in-ear fit with small, medium and large ear tips, you can modify which ear tips fit your ear holes.

The noise cancellation is stellar and it fits into ears perfectly that running will not shake it off. If you use voice calls with it, you will be stunned how great the quality of the speaker you are listening to. However, you would also have to cope with you hearing your own voice when you speak , though. the microphone is just under the jaw, so the person on the other end can hear you loud and clear too. Unfortunately for music lovers, the thing that the earphones lack is that there is not enough contrast in the sounds being delivered and the bass is not low enough.

All in all, this pair of earphones is worth using when in a voice call and listening to music while exercising is where it excels. However, if you buy this to just listen to music, it might not be the best of all choices. With such a good piece of earphones at the cost of 27 SGD is totally worth it.

Samsung Galaxy S6

Samsung is a company that almost everyone have heard about regardless of where you’re from.Samsung has just recently released the Samsung Galaxy S6.But the Samsung Galaxy S6 is very different from the rest of the smartphones from the Samsung Galaxy S Series.

Samsung has decided to leave much of the Galaxy S5 traits behind and make a more different smartphone. And boom that’s how they made the Galaxy S6.A few difference that the Galaxy S6 has when compared to the Galaxy S5,is that the Galaxy S6 has a unremoveable battery and does not have a microSD card slot resulting in the Galaxy S6 being slimmer.

The dimension of the Galaxy S6 is 143.4 x 70.5 x 6.8mm and it weighs 138g.I think that it is good that Samsung kept the S6’s size at check as you don’t really want to have a phone that is too big or too small.Even though the Galaxy S6 is 0.1mm thinner than the Iphone 6,I does not bend like the Iphone 6 which is great as you don’t one to worry about whether your phone which you pay S$998 for will bend or not.

Samsung also improved it’s fingerprint reader, and it’s not only for unlocking your home screen, it now allows you to make mobile payment using Samsung Pay.Which in my opinion might change how business will work in the future, maybe 10 to 20 years later people will no longer bring their wallets and they’ll use their smartphone choose the credit card of their choice and pay.

The Galaxy S6 uses a Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen,16M colours. The size of the screen is 5.1 inches. It has a screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels (577 pixel density) It also has Multitouch which is something you should expect from the S6.In my opinion I think that the screen resolution is wonderful. When you compare the Galaxy S6 screen resolution to the Iphone 6, the Galaxy S6 is clearly the winner as the Iphone 6 has a screen resolution of 1334 x 750 (326 pixel density)

The Galaxy S6 runs on Android OS, v5.0.2 (Lollipop) it’s CPU is a Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57.Since it has a Quad-core, it is able to run smoothly and process things very quickly. For the GPU it uses a Mali-T760MP8 which is a energy efficient GPU but still produces best quality graphics. And with such good performance, it makes the Galaxy S6 even more worth it.

One of the biggest diffrence from the Galaxy S6 has when compared to the Galaxy S5 is that it does not have a microSD card slot which I mentioned just now already.Well, in my opinion I even though the Galaxy S6 does not have a microSD card slot I think it just gives user slight inconvenience. The Galaxy S6 internal memory is enough for me so I think it would not be much of a problem. The Galaxy S6 comes with internal of 32/64/128 GB and has a 3GB RAM

The Galaxy S6 front camera has 16 MP, 2988 x 5312 pixels, optical image stabilization, autofocus, and LED flash. The front camera has video quality of 2160p@30fps, 1080p@60fps, 720p@120fps.It’s rear camera has 5 MP.The rear camera has video quality of 1440p@30fps

Another one of the Galaxy S6’s feature is that it now can be charged without wires using inductive charging which uses a electromagnetic field to transfer energy from the charger to the Galaxy S6.Well with this method perhaps when wireless charging will become the way people charges things in the future and in a family that uses smartphone of different brand no longer need to worry about a clump of different charging cable everywhere.

The Galaxy S6 has a 2,550 mAh battery and in a standard video loop test it took 12.4 hours to run down. The battery last nearly a day when I use it like how I would normally use a smartphone daily.I surfed the net, played Clash of Clans occasionally and listened to music and the battery lasted for almost a day.So I think the battery life is good but it’s not like crazy long like some smartphone which has 3 day battery life. And with ultra power saving mode on you can charge your Galaxy S6 battery to a 100% very quickly.

The Galaxy S6 is also not waterproof but I don’t really think it will be a huge problem.

So overall in my opinion, the Galaxy S6 is the best android phone out on the market right now.So far the only android smartphone which might be better is the S6 Edge which has not been out yet.Based on it’s performance I think this smartphone is worth it.It cost S$998 and I think I would not mind paying even more for a phone which is this good. And I think that this is a warning to other companies like Apple,HTC and many more as this shows how capable Samsung is at when it comes to producing smartphones of top-notch quality.

LG L60

The LG L60 is a multi-touch smartphone. It has a dimension of 124.1 mm x 66.3 mm x 12 mm and a weight of 119 g which is lighter than smartphones in the market. The physical size of this phone is 4.3 inches. The phone has a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. It has a pixel density of 217 ppi which is quite low compared to other phones.

It has display features such as the light sensor, proximity sensor and many more. The camera of the LG L60 has 5 megapixels and its flash is LED. The camera has some features such as the CMOS image sensor, digital zoom, geo tagging and the panorama.

It only has a dual core processor which is not too common nowadays, however, most phones has a quad core processor. The LG L60 has a system memory of 512 MB RAM and it has a built-in storage of 4 GB. The phone’s battery has a capacity of 1540 mAh. There are some pros and cons for this phone. The pros are the phone has a dual SIM card support and a 4G. The cons are that it have a low pixel density screen, too little RAM memory, low resolution display, low-resolution camera, lacks autofocus and low resolution video capture.

There a a variety of colours which the user can choose from such as black and white. Lastly, many people must be thinking what is the price group of the phone. It is within the lower range of the price group, 2/10.In my opinion, this is a good phone. I would recommend people to buy this product and i would give it a rating of 7.5/10.

Seek Thermal

With the Seek Thermal, one would be able to have thermal vision as long as he possesses a smartphone. It is easy to carry around due to its small and light size. However, it does not come at a cheap price at all. When the users move the camera too quickly, the images would become grainy too. Despite that, it is still quite a useful piece of attachment for outdoor enthusiasts. It can also be used for security to keep any unwanted people away.

There are two cameras which Seek offers. The cheaper Thermal camera and the more expensive Thermal Xtra Range. They are available for both iOS and Android. As its name suggests, the Thermal Xtra Range is able to see objects which are further and has a manual focus function too. Jelly Bean 4.3.1 or higher is needed for Android while iOS 7 or 8 is needed for the iPhone.

The device weighs only 14 grams, is 1.6 inches long, 0.8 inches tall and 0.6 inches thick. On the left side of it, one would be able to find the chalcogenide lens and the connector which users would plug into their phones’ Micro – USB port on the right. Even though the device’s size makes it convenient to carry, it is really quite vexing to take care of such a costly device at such a small size. To help the users with this, users would also get a carrying case with rubber interior for protection of the camera when not in use. There is also a loop on one side to attach the case to a keychain or hang it from a workbench.

The application for the device launches automatically when it is plugged in. It would then be followed by an easy setup which takes only a few seconds. The device will work at any point of the day, with any amount of light. It would pick up any infrared waves emitted which we cannot see with our naked eyes. The maximum temperature it is able to detect is from -40 degrees Celsius to 330 degrees Celsius.

The camera does not really stand out when taking long shots but some details could still be made out. The application needed for the device is where one would be able to look at the camera’s viewfinder and perform other functions such as taking pictures. Users are able to control the colour palettes that the camera displays. Different scene modes are also available. An example of this is the Spot mode, which allows users to find out the approximate temperature of the object in the center of the camera. There is also a High/Low mode where users will be showed where is the highest and lowest temperatures in the camera’s field of view. The threshold mode allow users to customize the scene and show areas which are only above a certain temperature. There is also a Thermal+ mode where a split screen of both the image of the Seek camera and the phone’s main camera would be displayed. There is a slider on the screen of the user’s phone where users can drag to control how much of each image the user sees.

The Seek Thermal is a very interesting equipment which might be quite revolutionary. It is quite suitable for people who are very enthusiastic in the outdoors. One would also be able to check if hot air is escaping your house and is fantastic for home or personal security. With that said, it does come at a very costly price.
