It has a dimension of 5.86 x 2.95 x 0.39 inches and a slightly heavier weight of 185 g compared to an average smartphone which has a weight of 150 g. The smartphone is also quite rugged as it is water, dust, shock and temperature resistant.

The smartphone also has a pixel density of 576 ppi and a screen-to-body ratio of 64.29 %. It has a couple of display feature such as scratch-resistant glass, light sensor and proximity sensor. All in all, the Samsung Galaxy S7 active is a well made product with lots on pros and positive reviews on it. Most users like this product due to 4 main reasons. First of all, it is because of the phone’s large pixel size. Second of all, the extremely high pixel density screen. Thirdly, it has lots of RAM. Lastly, it is due to the phone being water resistant. This smartphone is growing in popularity and many users tend to have positive remarks and impression on it, therefore I would definitely recommend it to the many readers who had read my review on this product.

Samsung Galaxy Beam 2

The Galaxy Beam 2, as shown on the picture, has a built in projector which projects the screen onto a nearby matter. The projector is located at the top of the phone which “swells” that part slightly. The projector is controlled with the DLP app which can be quite troublesome. The app does not automatically toggle presentation mode even for very common presentation formats. Another disadvantage is that you will have to reopen the app just to set the projector since there is no shortcut or anything like it. It also cannot play embedded videos. The LED bulb in the projector can last for 20,000 hours so you should not need to replace it anytime soon.

It has a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and a microSD card slot which can hold up to 6GB of external storage. It has a screen size of 4.66 inches.

There is no continuous focus for the camera but there is a button to tap for focus. It has a lot of different adjustments and settings, for example: white balance, ISO, metering and resolution. There is evena  blink detection to detect blinking in photos to avoid closed eyes in pictures.

Its speed is enough to watch an online movie without any lag.

It can last for only 3 hours if the projector is “beaming” throughout the 3 hours.

In my opinion, I think that the main focus of this phone is its projector and nothing else.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge one of the most beautiful phone in 2016. Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge has a extremely fast capture speed and now the camera was downgraded from 16 megapixel to 12 megapixel. The camera was downgraded because this can improve the low lighting condition on picture, this will gives the camera a faster auto focus.

The display was a Super AMOLED screen and the resolution is 1440 x 2560, the screen was 5.5 inches compared to Samsung Galaxy S7 which has a screen size of 5.1 inches. The fingerprint scanner on both of the Galaxy S7 and the S7 Edge was pretty quick and accurate. The front and back panel was made out of Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

The phone was slippery and also a fingerprint magnet. Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is IP68 certified which means it is dust proof and it is water resistant over 1.5 meter for 30 minutes. It is running on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

It has 4 GB of RAM, 32/64 GB of internal storage, you can also insert a MicroSD card up to 200GB . The Always-on display is a display that shows the time, date and etc even if the phone is standby mode. The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge has Quick Charge 2.0 which can charge the phone to 60% in 30 min on both wired or wirelessly.

The new Galaxy S7 Edge has a bigger battery which is a huge improvement compared to last year Galaxy S6 Edge. This has a consequences of increasing the phone thickness and the benefit was the camera hump on back of the phone was slimmer. Overall, this is definitely a smartphone worth picking up, it has a very good camera and overall a very well performed phone.

Samsung Galaxy S7

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is Samsung’s latest phone that was released on 11 March. It is a a significant upgrade of the S6 in many ways, mainly the battery life and water resistance. Other than that, this is just a way better Galaxy than its older counterparts.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 has a comfortable curved back and sides which is quite resistant, falling a few feet wont crack or dent it, just don’t expect it to be the next Nokia. It is also water resistant and can survive 5 feet underwater, without any protective case. These feature already made a durable smartphone more durable. Aesthetics wise, the curves and build is better than previous Galaxies, the S7 is no doubt built better than its older counterparts. The drawback is that the glass and metal backing is a smudge magnet. There will always be fingerprints on the phone, making it annoying to clean all the time and sort of forcing you to buy a case to prevent this problem.

Phones nowadays are used for taking beautiful shots while on holidays or just selfies. This phone has a really good rear camera, with 12 megapixels  with dual pixel
CMOS 5MP front camera. The rear camera is a  low-light camera, whatever photos taken will come out crisp. Though the low light photos have better quality now, digital noise was still there, those small speckles of color that infiltrate the picture are an inevitability in low-light digital camera shots. The auto-focus is really fast and good , grabbing clear shots from moving objects. This is good news to those taking normal landscape photos, but the selfies camera, armed with 5 megapixels, was not really good. It has even more ‘beautification’ filters, making the skin look youthful, but it does it too much. It makes the skin look plastic. The selfies comes out either too fake or too harsh. The flash used for the front camera is quite good, considering it whites out the screen, so your next selfie in a dark location will not be really muffled, but the flash in unbelievably blinding.

The S7 has lesser bloatware, unlike the S6, which leaves the S& with tons of customisation for you to do. Samsung also added a Game Launcher which has a set off quick action tools for you to use, like screenshots and recording. It can be use to turn off all alerts except for calls. The call notification takes up a big bulk of space, which would be better if it were to be toned down. It has an always on feature that shows either the clock, calendar or an image. It is useful a you need not to wake your phone up to check the time, battery levels or date.

The battery life is astronomically long lasting, even better than the iphone 6S. I mean if 16 hours of heavy use(still dependent on what the use is) is not enough for you, there is the S7 Edge anyways.  The amount of storage has been increased too, with a microSD card slot to use, that is an extra 64GB or more extra storage.

Here are some specifications that you might need to know. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, has 4GB or RAM and capture videos in 4K

Though it is pricey, I think it is worth buying it if you have no phone or have the money to buy this high-end phone. It costs 905SGD to buy the S7.

Samsung Portable SSD T1

The Samsung Portable SSD T1 is a one-of-kind portable drive. It’s a bit larger than a thumbdrive, as easy to use, yet has up to 1TB of storage space. It has great performance. It has a three year warranty and you can also set a password to it.It is lightweight yet has 250GB , 500GB or 1TB depending on how much space you need.It is $179,$299,$599 respectively. If you can pay for it, I would recommend it , but only if you need this much space.

Just one thing , if you have valuable information and it gets exposed to water, it should be taken to a technician quickly or the data may be gone for good.It is NOT waterproof so beware! Other than that, I feel that it has amazing performance!

Samsung Gear VR 2015

The Samsung Gear VR is virtual reality headset made by Samsung and it is powered by Oculus. The VR headset works best with Samsung’s Galaxy phone as the display is Super AMOLED which produce the sharpest image and the highest pixels density and together with a wide field of view of 96˚, this will give you the best virtual reality experience.

The new Samsung Gear VR is lighter than the previous model by 19%. It weights 318g without any smartphones in it and now it features a larger touchpad for easy and more accurate control and it is located at the right side of the VR headset. It has foam cushioning which is good because it will still be very comfortable even if you wear it for long period of time.

There are multiple things that you can do with Samsung Gear VR such as watching video in virtual reality which will give you whole new experience compare to watching video without VR, gaming in virtual reality, this will make your gaming experience more intensive as if you are playing a horror game, the jump scare will be right in front of your face. Overall I think this device is not as good as the Oculus Rift, but for its price i think it not too expensive for its build quality and for its comfortability.

Samsung Gear S2 3G

This smartwatch, unlike others does not require you to pair this to your phone. It works independently.

The Samsung Gear S2 3G is a smartwatch that has its own cell service. It can work without any phone at all. The smartwatch has a little e-SIM card inside it which would mean that the smartwatch can receive messages, calls, and even allows you to checks the weather.

This smartwatch’s design is slick and comes with the rim of the watch which can be rotated. Inside it has many apps available for download from Tizen, a separate operating system with a separate app store from smartwatches on the Android Wear platform.

The rotatable rim of the watch allows you to view different pages of the phone, just like using your finger to swipe through the pages of your phone. Besides those, it also has different layouts of the digital watch within it.

The smartwatch costs only $200. When i saw it on display in a shop, it caught my eye as it was circular and most of the smartwatches were square which is not really appealing to the eye in my opinion as for those who wear watches who want to get a smartwatch, they may not get used to it as it is square. Overall, in my opinion, $200 is considered a cheap price for me for a smartwatch from Samsung considering that it has quite a lot of abilities.

Samsung Galaxy View

The Samsung Galaxy View is a multi-touch tablet. It has a dimension of 451.8 mm x 275.8 mm x 11.9 mm and an extremely heavy weight of 2650 g, which is much heavier than an average tablet that has a weight of 498 g. Next, I will move on to the display of this tablet.

Firstly, it has a big physical size of 18.4 inches and a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. This tablet also has a pixel density of 120 ppi. It has a high screen-to-body ratio of 75.70%. There is also a light sensor on this tablet. The camera of this tablet is 2.1 megapixels.

Secondly, it has an octa-core processor hence the tablet can load applications quite quickly. Additionally, it has a system memory of 2048 MB RAM and a built-in storage of 64 GB. The battery capacity of this tablet is 5700 mAh. The advantages of this tablet is that it has a high screen-to-body ratio (75.7 %) and a fast mobile data support (4G). The disadvantages of this tablet is that it has an extremely heavy weight and there is no rear camera.

Lastly, people who are interested in this product must be wondering about its price. Now, I shall list down the prices. The device is now up for shipping and currently offers 32 GB and 128 GB Wi-Fi options for $799 and $949 respectively. While the 128 GB Wi-Fi + Cellular model will cost you $1,079. In my opinion, this is a great tablet if the weight is not too heavy and it should be light enough for people to carry it around without much effort. Comparing the advantages and disadvantages, I would say that this tablet should be given a rating of 7/10.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7

This is the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.Before you click away thinking this is just a ripoff and just a copy of the last model, look at the picture of this phone and try saying it’s not beautiful. Not only that this phone has better battery life than most of Samsung’s other phones. It has better speed and features too. Oh, have I mentioned you can charge wirelessly. It has 64GB base model which means that there is lots of space for photos, videos and games. However, it is very pricey and is more expensive than any other android phone so far, and the pen still has minor issues. With the new pen you can write draw and navigate you through the various applications.

However, the battery… may catch fire, and you would not be allowed to bring this phone on board any airplane. Samsung has stopped producing this model and legitimate sellers don’t sell it.

Samsung says that 93 percent of its US customers have now returned the potentially faulty device, which is also banned from all airplanes in this country and many others. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission has also said, “Consumers should power down and stop using all Galaxy Note 7s.”

You shouldn’t buy a Galaxy Note 7, even if you can still find one. And if you own one, you should immediately turn it off and exchange it for a different, non-Note 7 phone. Around the world, carriers and retailers will exchange your Note 7 for phones of equal value on the same network, so you can exchange it for models like the S7 and S7 edge that would NOT catch fire.
