The iPhone X, which was released a month ago, is a better version of iPhone 8. It has a dual camera and it now has face ID function like Samsung S8. And the picture quality of iPhone X is very good. When you see your own selfie, you feel like you are much younger. And iPhone 8’s battery have been tested on 22 December 2017. Like Samsung S8, iPhone X’s face ID function is making customers having quite a hard time unlocking the phone. There is also an improvement in adjusting the apps and swiping the phone. Also, iPhone X also has wireless charging.
(How it looks like when it is being wirelessly charged.)
Instead of swiping down the functions like torchlight from the bottom, now iPhone X functions are swiped down from the top. This product changed people’s impression of apple as this was the only phone that does not have the home button anymore in apple products. But as always, iPhone is expensive. Converted into Singapore dollars, it is $999 for one. Although iPhone X looks big, but the black sides of the phone are actually not the part of the display screen of the phone. It is the front camera and sensors. iPhone X’s resolution is better than all the other apple phones. The color of the iPhone X is amazing that it can even blend in the dark. iPhone X’s battery life is around 11.45 hours. Portrait mode is a mode that allows you to take a very clear picture of yourself but in exchange for your background not being as clear. Normally, face ID requires your eyes to unlock it, but you can deactivate it by going to settings. That is very special, which other phones are unlikely to be able to do it. All this features makes this phone that expensive.

You will have to buy a case to protect the iPhone as it is fragile and just one drop is enough to break it. I think this phone is something who wants to buy a phone that can last very long. Repairs for iPhone are very expensive so I think buying a case would be safe.
While Iceland is the first country to outlaw the gender pay gap, the rest of the world is seeing a bigger divide than ever
The Motorola Moto G4 is a budget phone that is claimed by many to also be good. Certain key features that might seem interesting is that the phone is able to survive being dunked into water and will not turn off immediately after it comes in contact with water. This is really useful for those who have tendencies of spilling or are generally much clumsier.
The Motorola Moto G4 is also pretty thin which is handy if you want to keep and take out of your pocket easily. The Motorola Moto G4 has a 14cm screen with a HD display with 1080p resolution. The colours are well saturated which is ideal for usage.
The Motorola Moto G4 comes with a battery life of around 13 hours which is quite a long usage time for an average user and is really useful if you’re unable to charge the phone. There’s also a fingerprint scanner at the front which is a nifty function as it is more convenient for those who finds typing in the passcode repeatedly to get into their phone a burden. Do note that this is not a home button and some long time apple or android users may mistake the fingerprint scanner for it.
The Motorola Moto G4 comes with octa-core processors which are adequate for video streaming or playing casual games. However, if you’re planning on using this phone for gaming, this phone isn’t ideal for it.
The camera of the Motorola Moto G4 is a 13-megapixel camera which produces generally satisfying images that are acceptable by society’s standards. Even in bright lights, it will still produce really decent images.
In conclusion, if you’re looking for a cheap yet decent phone to use for your everyday social media needs and have a battery that lasts for a long period of time. The phone can be bought at around S$269.99 at retail price. However, do not expect much from it if you’re using it for gaming.

When Microsoft launched this new phone, it was really cheap at the price of $200. Despite the low price, it is still considered a good phone. With it having a computer display of the home screen, it still functions like other phones, but cheaper. The low cost phone being targeted at budget conscious looking for a ‘my first Windows Phone’ experience buyers was not what the crowd was looking for. However, considering it was a budget product, I think personally it could be slightly more creative in terms of the home screen display instead of copying it from the computer.
The phone having a premium look is a well done for Microsoft but the plastic back comes off unlike Apple phones and others so as to allow you to get to the Micro SD slot and the removable battery which are really handy when you bought an extra battery along with you.
- 5-inch OLED display at 1,280×720 resolution
- 142 mm by 70.9 mm by 6.9 mm and 122 g (5.5 by 2.8 by 0.27 inches and 4.3oz)
- 1GB RAM
- 16 GB storage with Micro SD Card up to 200GB Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 quad-core processor running at 1.3 GHz
- 2,000 mAh
- Category 4 LTE
- 8-megapixel rear camera and 5MP front facing handy.
Unfortunately, it does not support the Continuum which is the killer feature for Windows 10 which gives you the PC-like experience when it your device to the big screen and also the camera will not be setting any speed records and the 2,000 mAh battery would not be the largest battery although the low-resolution screen and aforementioned chipset is not really battery consuming.
Overall, I think this product is good in terms of its price and components despite the fact that it does not support the Continuum. The price of this phone is cheap and the components are relatively good considering that it is a $200 budget phone. The phone is definitely pocket-sized unlike the recent iPhone 6 and not even considering iPhone 6 plus and other phones.

The Iluv neon sound iep336 earphones is an all rounder earphones that is compatible withall iphones , ipods , ipads , Samsung Galaxy Series , Galaxy Note series , Galaxy Tab series , LG , HTC and other smartphones , tablets and other 3.5mm Audio Devices. Being so all rounded , there is no reason why people should not buy it. It has durable designs , in-line volume control which is unused on computers and non-apple devices. It has tangle resistant cables which is useful if the earphones that you are using now are always have thier cords being tangled. Having a comfortable in-ear fit with small, medium and large ear tips, you can modify which ear tips fit your ear holes.
The noise cancellation is stellar and it fits into ears perfectly that running will not shake it off. If you use voice calls with it, you will be stunned how great the quality of the speaker you are listening to. However, you would also have to cope with you hearing your own voice when you speak , though. the microphone is just under the jaw, so the person on the other end can hear you loud and clear too. Unfortunately for music lovers, the thing that the earphones lack is that there is not enough contrast in the sounds being delivered and the bass is not low enough.
All in all, this pair of earphones is worth using when in a voice call and listening to music while exercising is where it excels. However, if you buy this to just listen to music, it might not be the best of all choices. With such a good piece of earphones at the cost of 27 SGD is totally worth it.

The Sony Xperia E4g was an improvement of the E4. Unlike the E4, the E4g now has 4G services. The phone has a jaw – opening battery life. According to Sony, the device will last for two days without charging and one week with battery – saving settings. There are many settings you can further tweak to prolong the life or the phone. There are power – saving modes such as the Battery Stamina Mode, which disallows functions which consume most battery and the Ultra Stamina Mode will only allow the most basic functions of the phone to continue running.
For users which are not familiar with smartphones, the device also offers a Simple Home interface, which will increase the size of icons and make accessing applications quicker. For some countries, the phone would contain a dual – SIM feature which will allow you to change between phone numbers in the same phone.
The phone has a screen of 4.7 – inch with a resolution of 960×540 pixels, which means that there would be only 234 pixels per inch. This definitely is not a very high definition and would not offer a great deal of detail as a result. Therefore, this would not be an extremely ideal phone to watch videos or view websites and pictures.
The camera of the phone is of 5 – megapixels and is able to shoot videos with a high definition of 1080p. The default storage space of the device is 8GB and can be expanded with a memory card to the maximum of 32GB. It has NFC and Bluetooth 4.1 which would allow wireless connection between the phone and other devices.
Although this phone does not have the perfect specs, it compensates that with an extremely long battery life. People who are looking for an affordable phone with a very long battery life would therefore find this phone quite ideal.

Not to be confused with the RedMi Note, this is the Mi Note by XiaoMi. It is a Android powered 5.7 inches phablet. Borrowing a few ideas from other phones, this phablet does seems like great value for money and some has even compared it to the Galaxy Note. However, there is obviously some major difference between the two devices.
It has a curved front glass and rear but has rounded edges. Its rear curve is a little similar to the Samsaung Galaxy Note Edge but without a display. It has quite an eye – catching design. The company has also proved in a series of tests that the glass would not crack easily. It runs on the Android 4.4 KitKat and Xiaomi’s latest custom skin, the Miui 6, which allows you to shrink the onscreen display simply by swiping.
The phablet has a 13 – megapixel rear camera and a front camera of 4 -megapixels. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 3000mAh battery, a 1,920 x 1,080 pixels display in full – HD, 16 or 64GB of internal storage and two 4G SIM slots. However, no microSD card slot will be available.
Alongside with the phone, XiaoMi will also be releasing a new pair of headphones known as the Mi Headphones. It will have 50 mm beryllium diaphragm speakers which can be used either on – ear over – ear.
Despite the phablet’s great quality and build, getting it out of China will most probably be quite a big challenge and might take awhile. It does though seem like a phone which would be really worth the money.
